On Welcome Sunday, we will also be including a brief rite within our service for the “Blessing of the Backpacks.” Young people returning to school are invited to bring their school backpacks to be blessed at the altar. Additionally, anyone – young or old, child or adult) is invited to bring their personal book bags, briefcases, knitting bags, satchels or laptop bags to be blessed. So, circle September 13 on your calendar and remember to bring your bag/case with you to any of our three church services that day.
