This service highlights a very old Anglican Tradition in the Episcopal Church – focusing on the prophetic nature of the birth of Christ, as anticipated in the Old Testament and realized in the New Testament. There are several readings from Scripture, each followed by music and carols of the Christmas Season. (The Twelve Days of Christmas traditionally conclude on Epiphany, January 6). The service is known for its profound dignity and simplicity.
